It involves preventing or reducing the seizure spread of brain cells and removing physiological, functional and anatomical pieces of the brain also known as epileptic foci. The brain has got lobes or hemispheres also called the cerebral hemispheres of the brain. The removal of part or one of the lobes is called Hemispherectomy. Their operations are used under extreme or severe conditions such as major head damage caused due to a bullet or a stab. There are also other surgeries like Skull Surgery, Peripheral nerve surgery, Spinal surgery .and pediatric Neurosurgery.
